These plans and instructions are for a 5ft by 8ft
Teardrop Camp Trailer with a Queen Size Bed
that weighs about 575 lbs. loaded, that you can
build and make it look really sharp for
less than $725.00

expensive, please beware of what you are
buying and try to find out as much as you can
about exactly what you are getting.
I had purchased 3 different sets of plans when
I had first decided to do this project, and I was
unable to use ANY of them. They were either
incomplete, badly copied old magazine
article, or just plain UNSAFE.
After becoming frustrated, I spoke to a friend
who designs and builds truck trailers, and he
helped me come up with this design and
set of plans, then as I built my first trailer,
we wrote out step by step, easy to understand
instructions. These are COMPLETE
and easy to follow.
Fortunately for you, I helped to build two more
of these trailers after I completed mine, so I
updated the instructions as I figured out faster
and/or easier ways to complete certain steps.
MAIN FEATURES:
1. Easy to build.
2. Features a Queen Size Bed.
3. Safe on the road, correct balance, no swaying etc.
4. You can very easily customize about any
part of this trailer.
5. Light weight, can be towed behind your
Honda Civic etc.

options for building your trailer frame yourself, the
plans and instructions for both are included.

A lot of people prefer using a 5 x 8 bolt together trailer
frame that you can pick up at Harbor Freight etc.,if you
choose to do the same, we give you instructions on
how to make a couple small modifications to in order
to make this frame very sturdy and safe.
Or you can also build your own frame if you
choose to, I have included a file just on the
fabrication of the trailer frame.
And then there are the trailer frames that you
don't have to build.

If you happen to have an old 5 x 8 utility trailer that you
never use for anything or you know someone who does
that you might purchase it from fairly cheap, then you've
got it made. You can also watch craigslist etc.

If you do build the frame or use the Harbor

will have it inspected by DOT and they will issue you a
vin# so that you can get it registered and get your
license plate.

PLEASE NOTE: No matter where you buy your
plans, be sure to keep all your reciepts for the
materials purchase for your trailer, in a lot states
DOT will ask you for them when you have your
